The Fashion Entrepreneurship Concentration prepares students to think and act entrepreneurially within the global fashion and beauty industry—one of the world’s largest economic sectors. Representing approximately 3.2% of global GDP, the fashion and beauty industry is valued at $3.65 trillion and employs more than 310 million people worldwide.
Designed for students interested in apparel, footwear, beauty, jewelry, home fashion, and emerging fashion‑technology sectors, the concentration emphasizes innovative and responsible business models across the fashion value chain. Students examine opportunity recognition, venture creation, and entrepreneurial problem solving across design, sourcing, production, marketing, and distribution, with attention to sustainability, circularity, and global industry dynamics.
