QTM3602 Applied Calculus for Business Analytics

This course will help prepare Babson students who intend to pursue graduate degrees in data science, analytics, quantitative finance and other technical fields. This course builds the mathematical and logical foundation for advanced study in business and economics. Students review essential concepts from single-variable algebra, analytic geometry, and introductory calculus, then extend these ideas to selected topics from multivariable calculus and linear algebra most relevant to economic and business analysis. Emphasis is placed on understanding rates of change, optimization, and game theory, and on applying these concepts to real-world modeling and decision-making. Computational tools are integrated throughout to model data, analyze outcomes, and support evidence-based business strategies.
