MKT3508 Engagement and Fundraising

4 Advanced Management Credits

Engagement and Fundraising draw on core selling skills: networking, asking questions, listening, understanding people, building trust, communicating value, storytelling, making the right ask, navigating concerns, and building long term relationships. If you care about lifelong impact and want highly transferable business skills, Engagement and Fundraising is a course for you.

In this practice-intensive course, you play the role of a decision maker working through real nonprofit challenges with incomplete information and real tradeoffs. You will learn through case discussions and from guest speakers, then apply your learnings to fieldwork projects in partnership with the award-winning and record-breaking Babson Advancement Office. You will end up building confidence and better judgment while gaining practical experience that is critical not just in nonprofits but also in entrepreneurship, sales, business development, marketing, finance, and any career built on relationships and influence.
